Recommended Vaccinations for small animals

Vaccinations are tailored to fit the needs of your pet.  Listed below are general recommendations.

Canine

  • DHLPP/C
  • Rabies
  • County Tags
  • Bordetella 
  • Rattlesnake
  • Heartworm test
  • Fecals
  • CBC and Biochemistry profile for senior pets

*Rabies and DHLPP/C are considered core vaccinations.

Puppies

 (most puppies are started between 6-8 weeks of age and vaccinated every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks of age)

  • 6 weeks- DHPP/C  + dewormer
  • 9 weeks – 2nd DHPP/C  + dewormer
  • 12 weeks – 3rd DHPP/C
  • 16 weeks – 4th DHLPP/C + Rabies
  • Fecal
  • Heartworm test for 6 months or older

Feline

  • FVRCP
  • Rabies
  • Feline Leukemia
  • Fecal
  • CBC and Biochemistry profile for senior pets

Kittens-

  •  6 weeks – FVRCP  + Dewormer
  • 9 weeks – FVRCP + Dewormer
  • 12 weeks – FVRCP + (optional Feline Leukemia)
  • 16 weeks – FVRCP + Rabies + (optional Feline Leukemia)
  • Fecal
  • May give feline leukemia at 12 weeks and second booster at 16 weeks
